"Geometry today: Five short novels"
Abstract:
Many parts of geometry share one or more of the following features.
They are visual and simple to state.
They still are open, or at least are only partially solved.
When solved, the solution is not only hard and technical but uses essentially one or more mathematical concept(s), more or less abstract and apparently far away from the original problem.
