Electronic journals appear in the catalog.This includes e-journals from the following sources:
Print subscriptions (past and present) appear in a separate record.
- Library subscriptions
- Hebrew University subscriptions
- Package and aggregator subscriptions
- MALMAD subscriptions
- Free e-journals or series

Electronic books are cataloged

- when access is purchased by the library
- when access is available legally.
- when selected or recommended by staff members.
- when the same book is available in the library in print.
- when it is part of a specific collection
- electronic books in all HUJI subjects are cataloged centrally, and can be seen through the new book list.

- Current Journals:
All journal titles to which we currently have a print subscription are checked in weekly on the computer (Check the periodicals lists at: Current serials in the library).
Issues published until 1996 were also listed in the the card catalog.Journal titles to which we no longer subscribe, have also been catalogued into the computer with the exception of titles held in the Machsan with little circulation.
Please check card catalog for backup when in doubt.
- New books
All new book arrivals since mid 1996 appear in the HUfind.

- Old books
We have been systematically cataloging circulating books since mid 1996.
Therefore: Most of the library's collection appears in the HUfind.
For old books please also check the card catalog.
