"On a class of vector-valued singular perturbation problems"

Abstract: We study several singular perturbation problems involving a potential whose well is a curve. In all these problems we are interested in the asymptotic behavior of the minimizers for the energy when a small parameter epsilon goes to zero. As a model problem one can take the Ginzburg-Landau energy.

This is a joint work with Nelly Andre (University of Tours).

Light refreshments will be served in the faculty lounge at 3:30.
